Education in school – Script (Exercise 7: Part B)

Education
is the process of facilitating learning. Knowledge, skills, values, beliefs, and habits of a group of people are transferred to other people, through storytelling, discussion, teaching, training, or research. Education frequently takes place under the guidance of educators, but learners may also educate themselves in a process called auto didactic learning. Any experience that has a formative effect on the way one thinks, feels, or acts may be considered educational.
Education is commonly and formally divided into stages such as preschool, primary school, secondary school and then college, university or apprenticeship. The methodology of teaching is called pedagogy

The importance of education
•Education is not all about studying and getting good marks. It is really a means to discover new things which we don't know about and increase our knowledge. An educated person has the ability to differentiate between right and wrong or good and evil. It is the foremost responsibility of a society to educate its citizens.Focus should be on women’s education because the knowledge and empowerment of one woman can bring about a change in a family and even the society as a whole. It is the uneducated and illiterate people who think women are not entitled to education.A person becomes perfect with education as he is not only gaining something from it, but also contributing to the growth of a nation. We must realize the importance of education. We must aim to ensure that each citizen of our nation is educated and independent.
Teaching methods in the UAE
•Teaching strategies aren’t fixed; they develop and evolve over years. The typical teacher-centre classroom of a decade ago has been superseded, but the key to schooling remains the interaction between a teacher and his or her students, and between the students themselves. Even as new technologies, including laptops and iPod's, are added to the educational mix, the personal touch is the most important way to share information and learn skills.
•However, teaching methods also differ among cultures. The UAE education system has undergone many changes over the past four decades and teaching strategies have been improving, thanks to the latest learning tools and technologies. But student engagement – a key element in the classroom environment – remains a challenge for many teachers and it should always be a topic of discussion
Benefits of Education
•Education acquiring a genuine a genuine environmental mindset from a global perspective . Education is important because it will open up the windows of opportunities. In this competitive world having a good education is as important as the air we breathe because it is our weapon to conquer the world. Education will help you grow as an individual because the more knowledge you have the better understanding you will have in any given problem that will come your way. It will give you self satisfaction and will boost your self confidence. As an individual I know it will help me in a lot of aspects in my life. It will give me a financial stability because I will be able to land a good job and a high paying salary. I will learn how to spend my money and will learn how to invest it wisely. The more education I have the more respect and acknowledgement I will get from people. Knowledge is really important that is why we need to take it seriously. It is the strong weapon you can have to conquer this complex world. If you have a good education nobody can fool you and you will not tolerate any mistreatment from people. It will give you a better view in life if you are well educated. In the social aspect of my life education will give me a better understanding on how to communicate to people effectively  .
development of Education in the UAE
• The development of education in the UAE started effectively in 1962, where the number of schools then was barely 20 schools, in which less than 4000 students studied, mostly male students. The necessary infrastructure was often unavailable in many social services venues including hospitals, households, airports . due to the lack of necessary manpower.
•Upon the exploration of Oil and the beginning of development, the UAE focused a lot of attention on education, as His Highness Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan considered education among the priorities of progress. He said openly that the Youth are the real wealth of the Nation. He was overly generous when it came to education related projects that aspired for the gradual improvement of education in order to prepare a new generation capable of contributing to the progress of the Nation . When the Federation was established in 1971, educational services were still immature and inaccessible to many cities and villages.  Enrollment rate was nearly 28 thousand students.  Higher education was unavailable locally; therefore students had to seek other countries to pursue higher education after school on the government expense.  At the same time, the state leadership sought tirelessly to prepare the necessary infrastructure for the educational sector.
